Review on ‘You’re Beautiful’.

Guess what i’ve been watching? Yes, it’s non other than the 2009 romantic fantasy drama, “You’re Beautiful”.

I can’t believe i am attracted to this drama and i’m sure everyone is.

This has got nothing to do with SoEulMates, just that i got to share it with you.

and the boy band is called ‘A.N. Jell’. They are really like angels to those girls aka the fans.

(I just refresh your memory if you have not seen the drama)

Synopsis:

The story is about the behind-the-scene of an idol group.

Go Mi Nyu (Park Shin Hye) was a sister-to-be aka a nun. She was so pure and knows nothing about the ‘outside’ world. She has a twin bother, Go Mi Nam (Park Shin Hye), who look just like her. One day, a person who called himself her brother’s manager came to find her. He said that her help is urgently needed to replace her brother signing a contract because her brother is in a bad state where nobody should meet him. Under certain circumstances, she accepted the request and meet up with the arrogant leader, Hwang Tae Kyung.

On the other hand, the group leader of A.N.Jell, Hwang Tae Kyung (Jang Geun Suk) was not so happy with the news that there will be a new member in the group. He hated him so much even though they had not meet formally. Under certain circumstances too, he had to accept the new member and live together under one roof. No one knows that the new member is actually a girl except the manager but, that was then.

Jang Geun Suk as Hwang Tae Kyung

My review: His role is kind of cruel and cool on the outside but caring on the inside. Once you have watched the drama, you’ll know what i mean. 🙂 Every time he spent with Go Mi Nam, bad things will happen and that’s what makes him hates Mi Nam so much. But hate is a dangerous thing coz hate will turn into ‘thinking about that somebody’ and turns into ‘caring for that somebody’ and lastly ‘loving that somebody'(it’s a theory that i figure out). And that was when he knew ‘he’ was a girl, the interesting part of the story.

Actually, i found that every episode is interesting in their own way. The writer is so brilliant, we can’t predict what happened next. One other thing is that his hairstyle. His hairstyle is kind of suitable for his role, a new look and feel but he looked…gay (no offense). Hopefully his style will change as the episodes move on. Lastly, i really like his low tone voice. When he talked seriously with Mi Nam, his voice is so much of caring rather than scolding. 🙂 And i like the way he called ‘Go Mi Nam’, everytime.

Park Shin Hye as Go Mi Nam (boy)/ Go Mi Nyu (girl)

My review: I like her role in here. Even though i saw people comments, comparing her with Yoon Eun Hye in Coffee Prince, but i think she is pretty good in here. She has so much cuteness in her role as Go Mi Nam. I know that every single lead female will always end up with the lead male but i hope it’s different this time (just like how i wished So Yi Jung ended up with Ga Eul roles in BBF). Coz i’m so badly wanted her to end up with Kang Shin Woo. I’m really curious how will the writer end up the story.

Lee Hong Ki as Jeremy

My review: JEREMY! 😛 As we all know, he is in the talented band, F.T Island. He was so charismatic when he is singing on stage with his real band. I was so surprised with his role in the drama. Never thought that he could be so suitable to be this ‘Jeremy’, a cheerful guy who likes to exaggerate his thinking (these scenes are the funniest of all). He totally attracts me with his role in this drama.

I love how he was jealous when his hyungs (Tae Kyung & Shin Woo) cared for Mi Nam. He was worried that every attention that he gets for all this time will gradually diminish because of the newcomer or maybe he scared that his hyungs are gays. He was so cute and he act like a pampered kid (as a maknae). Stay tune for more of his unexpected reactions. I can’t wait until he finds out that Mi Nam is a girl!

Jung Yong Hwa as Kang Shin Woo

My review: This is my FAVORITE role of all time. I am so happy talking about his role. In real life he was in a band C.N Blue, the same agency with F.T Island. I fell in love with his role instantly and actually, he is my type of guy. A single eye lid guy with not much of muscles, he is just perfect for me. There are so many scenes that i like about his role especially when he was caring for Mi Nam as the pictures below explained.

These scenes were when he already knew Mi Nam is a girl and helping her out when she was in the mens toilet. Totally my type of guy but sadly it’s only his character in a drama. Everyone was comparing him with Ji Hoo sunbae (BBF). Not exactly comparing but they got the same role, as a one-sided love guy. T_T Please let him end up with Mi Nam (just a wishful thinking after all). I hope to see him more in the future.
